Ramadan Iftar
Budadiri Muslim Charity Organization“and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind” Qur’an 5:32
Islam, Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar and the holy month of fasting. It begins and ends with the appearance of the crescent moon. During this month, all Muslims are entitled to fast except the sick, aged, lactating mothers and women who are in menstruation (after they have to compensate for the missing days). Sick are entitled to pay fidya while kafaarah is for those who miss fast without a valid reason.
During this month, BCMO distributes Ramadan food parcels and iftar meals to fasting families to enable them to break their fast.
Food parcels containing rice, posho, wheat flour, salt, cooking oil, sugar, dates, and cowpea are $40 (USD). Each food parcel feeds a family of five people for the whole month. This is achieved through your efforts and donations. Donate and save a life.
